of course not. The ASX bases it off the correspondence they receive - in this case, they received the letter from Sayona requesting a suspension pending an announcement regarding their NAL bid. From that information, the ASX has summarised that as being an announcement regarding a material acquisition.
Once again, I’m not down ramping. I am just pointing out that the ‘material acquisition’ wording was what the ASX has written, not the company.
