Thinking outside the box a little, but they would have been bloody excited by the speed increase in NPL3. So excited that maybe they couldn't wait for imec to put together an array. So, they've built another smaller 16 kilobit at Fremont to produce characterisation with an access device.
Pure speculation of course. Feasible, but unlikely.
