They were indeed Com & a noteable omission from the Imec Reram consortium back then were both Sandisk & Toshiba..
Maybe they decided (via HGST) to join the party in 2017
With the Key Point for me back in 2012 being;
“the cycling for this type of memory is very stable with good results up to 10^9 using dumb cycling. With a smart algo using verify & field mods much higher endurance is (or can be) expected”
