Ok maybe slightly generalized statement I made. They temper their tactics to fit local laws, but the main thrust of my argument is valid.
The Chinese government hands down directives to whatever company involved and they follow or there are major ramifications to their families and relatives. So they do as directed.
Imho this belt and road policy is another arm of the governments intent to spread their control far and wide. All this infrasture they help build if they don't get paid back they take control of it like a back street lender......All roads lead to Beijing.
