As of May 2021 Tshisekedi (the new President of the DRC) called for a review of all mining contracts signed with China while junior and his father were in power (including the Minerals for infra. deal which the Sundance tenaments eventually became a part off). The new Prezi obviously wants to assert himself with the addition that good old Hunter Biden has an interest in some of the mining assets (DRC being responsible for 60% of the worlds Cobalt supply, something critical for batteries).
