This is all around the Chinese Government trying to get control, they are trying to kill AVZ being able to finance the project via Western sources so they will need to exit the project. They will then say to the DRC government, we can finance it and we are the end purchaser of the product so what value are AVZ providing. Then steal AVZs mining plans while cutting corners in every way possible. They do it all over the world, look at TON. Remember we have them on our own share registry as well so the threshold for them controlling the asset is lower than some people thing.

The narrative AVZ had during the off take agreement was focused on the battery market in Europe. This was a clear narrative to the DRC government and China that this project does not depend on China. I would not at all be surprised if there was a clause in a loan agreement around investment or the land grab JV with Comiere around Manono by Jin Cheng that said they are entitled to the 15% and that the Chinese were trying to pull the wall over Comiere's eyes. Corruption is another possibility but make no mistaken the CCP are ruthless and do not give an F about anyone else.
