SO4 uses centrifuges near the front end of the plant to separate out the NaCl plus a scrubber ,
As I noted maybe 4 months ago Centrifuges are a pain to work on compared to rougher floatation cells , the less product a centrifuge has to deal with for mass pull , the better from at least a maintenance/tuning perspective and probably an energy use perspective .
Putting just one centrifuge in the design near the end of the process means KLL has means less drama in theory although given the German design I have to wonder , Germans love close tolerances which is a pain to work around .
Just my opinion and welcome to be proven wrong ,
