Well we are already in a halt, so we could have requested an extension. But using the voluntary suspension allows us to clear the sell side and we get to start trading on a clean slate. Limits the games to be played with 'fake' sell side volume.
If the market likes the news, gives us a better chance to see it reflected in the SP.
