    The housing market going up does not translate to more wealth. Need to remember the people living in these houses most likely have large mortgages and profits from market increases are only realised if they sell.

    I thought I heard inflation dropped quite a bit over the last month. I reckon there will probably be a couple more, this month and the following.

    In saying all this, if the government don't stop acting like there is no problem then rates will continue going up. Their actions (public sector pay rises, increases passed on to us, bloody transport fares are increasing again, etc) whilst continuing to spend on unnecessary projects (at this time) is only making things worse. Not blaming any one party, they are all at fault plain and simple.
