Not automatic. The default is for it to resume trading, the company has to request suspension. They can also in some instances request extension.
im also suss on the dates. TS blames 4th July holiday, but initial halt was only till July 3? So was delayed by something that was incredibly foreseeable, and happens AFTER things were supposed to be resolved?
And now they suspend until July 5th - in Aus - ie the suspension lasts just long enough to cover 4th July, but not past it? So how exactly has 4th of July been an impact?
