The way I look at it EM have been patenting as much as they can around the packaging process to ensure that it cannot be manufactured without them. So equally AKP are unlikely to be able to manufacture the device without EM as well. So if I were EM I would hold AKP to ransom so to speak and ask for a significant cut of the royalties and would not budge until I got it.
