In your scenario, true the developer will not pour money into unprofitable project. However, LLL is facing quite different issue. The issue will have detrimental effects on Mali government's reputation, future foreign investments and local jobs. So the negotiation will be a 'give and take' scenario. Currently non of us small retail investors knew what was discussing behind a closed door. Everythings talked on this forum were just guesses and emotional expressions. No doubt, CEO and the whole board must be responsible for this unsettled business with Mali junta. It's very frustrated. But personally I can only hope for the best and that the captain of the ship will be able to show his intellegence and negotiation skills to steer his ship out of this storm.
