They are dealing with the FAA, not the local council.

The delays are frustrating and I often ask why is it taking so long but at the end of the day this will be the first commercial SHM application, if we get approval. As has been announced the WIFI application will be a stepping stone to other applications so the first application clearly needs to be thorough to inform future applications. The commentary is not months or quarters any more but weeks which I see as a positive.

I can totally get the FAA's hesitancy and due diligence they are taking - they don't care about investors but saving lives and with any new technology (5G recent example) they need to be sure the new tech ticks all the safety boxes. Given this is the first of its kind no doubt an approval framework has been needed (SHM issues paper - WIFI application and generic). All this effort gives me confidence that the FAA want to approve it.
