Seems odd to suspend while “negotiations are being completed” - plenty of other companies with much larger deals are able to keep trading while a deal is negotiated in the background under confi arrangements. There was no share price activity prior to Monday to suggest that there was any leak/unusual trading activity.
I hope the board know what they are doing - going on trading halt to finish negotiations before a deal is struck might give leverage to whoever the bidder is - knowing that the clock is now ticking to 3 weeks for us. There would be nothing worse that setting the expectation of a deal and in 3 weeks time coming out of halt with the bidder having walked away. Not sure why they couldn’t have waited until a deal was executed or a terms sheet/indicative offer received before disclosing. Seems a bit amateurish tbh
… but I’ll eat my words in 3 weeks if we get a treated to 30c lol
