Yes,we have all bitched and moaned about multinaionals coming to oz,paying no tax and taking profits overseas.
Now the boot is on our foot,the govt and people of Mali,justifiably,would feel the same way.This is all about Malians getting a fair share,people seem to forget there is actually 3 partners in this project.
Maybe we will have to give the govt 35%(worse case) ,not the end of the world,will still be very profitable mine over a long period of time.
Probably wont get resolved until the new legislation gets passed and everyone knows exactly where they stand.
Going fishing for a week or two....
