I reckon someone has shorted a lot of stock and there is a world of pain coming to them as they are forced to buy it back. I also reckon as the shorting was taking place and them spreading rubbish rumours to get their short position to develop momentum
(e.g company is doing a roadshow so is raising money, or stock is leaking so they don’t have anything )
a lot of innocent gullible mum’s and dads got caught in their web in their web and rushed to the exits thinking there was a fire without even looking to see if there was one. Unfortunately for the innocent who sold they’ll be scratching their head thinking why did we even sell and the trouble makers who caused this nonsensical storm will now pay the ultimate price in trying to buy the short position back at a much higher price
