Ideally you read all the announcements on the Motive deal two months ago and understand at that time that the key timeframe is 5+ years (it is actually stated) and primary markets is an illiquid desperate option for sellers and you decide if you want to hold for 5+ years or sell on ASX before removal.
That ship seems to have sailed.
The 5 years growth with motive is to set up a possible listing IPO on another exchange...then you can sell.
The risk is it wont get there in 5 years. Thats why the decision to hold/sell on ASX before de-listing was an important one for each individual. Get cash by selling(if you need it) or hold on and wait for years.
Those mentioning Primary Markets as a serious option were deluded if they chose to hold for that purpose and missed the key points stated in the proposal going private....it may /will be an "illiquid" holding.
