When handling client financial data, a high level of confidentiality is required. I don't know much about ChatGBT, but I suspect everything is stored by them in the cloud whereby ChatGBT ultimately has control.
PIL needs to keep control of all data and, if they use third party cloud storage services, to control the encryption of everything before it goes to the cloud.
Hence, they need an in-house AI business.
