It looks like Nuheara approached Realtek for development of the chip and arranged payment by issue of shares in exchange for cash. Yes, funding from other subscribers to the CRs would have assisted. However, as shares can become worthless, Realtek would have demanded security in the form of credit priority. Realtek has over 6M shares and would have already suffered a considerable loss in this arrangement at the current sp. There is no evidence yet that Realtek have shown any interest in collaboration with Nuheara other than being paid to develop the chip. Otherwise one would think that by now, after nearly 2 years, there would have been some progress in further Realtek/Nuheara product development.
