I wonder if i should sell for almost zero if for no other reason to have a tax loss...can they be carried into the future? Not that there's any likelihood of having any of my shares rise in future.

wow you down only $960 don’t complain look at it as a lesson learnt. Always research the BOD and if people are saying things like lifestyle company, run for the hills.
That tax loss can be carried forward until the day you die.
