Sadly, I agree. In my mind, if it was to be the issuance of the export licence, the details would have been in the announcement.
Again in today’s announcement, GLN said they were providing an update on government permitting. To me, this infers a clarification of previously issued permits.
Had it been an export licence,I think they would have clearly mentioned it in the announcement, because let’s face it, that would be a huge leap forward and they would want to build as much anticipation as they could before trading recommences.
Let’s all just hope that it is not a massive re-write of the phase 2 application required. Further to this, this may be why glencore have not pulled the pin on the financing if they had wind that this was going to be an issue. After all, they also have first right of refusal to the phase 2 product.
