There is no difference between an EGM and an AGM, they are forums to allow the shareholders to vote on issues as set down in the Notice of Meeting. In the same way shareholders can force an EGM, they can force an issue on to the agenda at the AGM.
As a reasonable level of cost is involved in arranging an EGM, if there is an AGM in the near future the company has the right to reject the EGM and delay a vote on the issue until the AGM.
