They don't have to take over MLX to get Renison. Renison is a JV and either party has the ability to buy the other parties share under the constitution but with a few major risks. If the HK JV partners make an offer to buy, MLX have the right to counter offer (at the same price I believe) and the counter offer must be accepted (could be more complex than this but one side making an offer can trigger the other side taking the mine).
The question is, can MLX meet an offer that the HK partners could make and if not and if a move is made, MLX could end up with cash, Nifty and a Ni/Co deposit that will cost a monza to develop.
