I take less and less notice of LME stockpiles. Nickel has gone close to zero in the last couple months yet price has pulled back 20%.. because there are inventory outside of what the LME have recorded.. in China. 6,000t of stock on a 320,000tpa market.. that’s a weeks worth of supply.. it’s also refined tin stockpiles, Renison/MLX plays in the tin concentrate market, a different part of the supply chain.
