They are reliant on 3rd parties to review the suspension. They are 100% responsible for the suspension in the first place. But they can't lift it themselves.
There is an understandable tendency to look for the worst case scenario with FAR but if that announcement was delivered by a different company then many wouldn't even blink.
My wife tried to get someone from the bank to call her this week. Took 3 phone calls and 2 trips to the bank to get a response. Probably just as bad getting a quote out of a Tradie.
If we keep getting delays then yes, not a good look and they better provide a better explanation.
Just my opinion though.
