Reduction in staff in my view is never a good sign. Unfortunately for this employee is was ''unexpected'' but clearly this decision was very EXPECTED if you were Joe or Hamish trying to cut costs.

My only additional thought it is - looks like a finance type role? If Joe and Hamish are rationalising the employee base (a good thing to be cost focused) then this type of role you'd expect is less required than a front end development project development role focusing on land/permitting/grid workstreams.

If Joe and Hamish start cutting development roles - that would be a very bad sign.

Joe and Hamish will just increase the workload for the senior finance people - financial controller (or above) type positions. I am not aware of DEL having a CFO.
