    Really? Because……

The information period for the content of this report is as at the 31st of December 2021. (Being the end of the reporting period)

The report needs to take into account all relevant information for 2020 and 2021 up till the 31st of December 2021. How could the report possibly be part of some announcement last year ?

This report would have taken at least 3 months to compile finalise two years worth of content after Dec 2021.

Thereafter the report would of been sent to AVZ lawyers for legal / compliance review, so there’s another month at least and a month thereafter to discuss and adopt suggested changes.

After sign off by the lawyers the report would do the rounds with the Board members for review and ultimate acceptance of the report at Board level most likely completed at the most recent Board meeting.

From the end of December 2021 (and where most individuals are not back on deck till sometime in January) till now, for AVZ to release this report is a significant milestone and achievement, and very much completed on an appropriate and understandable timeline.

Obviously this report is incredibly comprehensive, unique and specific to AVZ, not some off the shelf puff piece.

Congratulations to AVZ for issuing such and important document, particularly with world focus squarely on sustainability and community these days.

Excluding China, all major car manufacturers have sustainability reporting requirements that must meet exceptionally high standards of compliance and governance, particularly in the EU.

For AVZ to release such aport on an annual basis (or every two years) this will enable more companies to do more business with AVZ, certainly compared to higher cost producers that provide little or no benefit to real sustainability, stakeholder and community engagement. .

These is an intense global focus on lifting developing countries (and their communities) up out of poverty.

This report underpins a major part of the business case for AVZ to develop Manono. The information in this report appropriately positions AVZ as the right partner for the DRC Government to support, a partner that has a social conscience (unlike others operating in the DRC) and a partner that takes sustainability seriously.

This report is another building block and important milestone as AVZ moves a step closer to becoming the worlds largest supplier of lithium (and one of the largest Tin suppliers) for many decades to come.

    Cheers BJ
