I agree what really amazing is that he effectively launched a partial takeover. I always understood these to be banned. Not a corporate lawyer but how under ASIC/ASX rules did they manage to have an incremental takeover where they can offer $7.30, $7.40 or whatever other cheapest price Stokes could get away with.

This sets quite a worrying precedent where essentially you can just railroad an existing board by incrementally increasing your share rather then an all in offer.
