I hear you, especially point 1. . I tried that. 4 months back I started seeing the divergence. I thought - that's good, I will buy ASX U stocks and they will now make more than other jurisdiction U stocks - that sounds natural, isn't it. . Instead of convergence, divergence has increased in another 2 months. So its now 4 months. Some can say it will happen soon. Its like doing a toss. If you get 5 heads in a row, one would think, chance of tail is increasing. Then you get one more head, you put more, then one more head, you put more. If something illogical is happening, it can stay illogical for a long time. That's what I am trying to say. I wish you well.
