There are a couple of other relevant (imo) initiatives underway atm:

Vinnova is now tasked with leading a process to identify and propose strategically important technologies for Sweden to invest in.2. The legislation is tricky. It is a complex process to go from prospecting, i.e. test drilling, to a mine ready to open. The operation takes decades if not more. However, in its eagerness to enable new nuclear power, the government has taken several steps to facilitate the process. SGU received SEK 34 million in the spring budget last year to shorten the time for exploration and an investigation was added in the same vein to review the rules surrounding the environmental assessment. There are several authorities involved and the possibilities to appeal have so far been good.
