Interesting detail of the "part time operation"   BRK are running over there in Oklahoma.

Some heavy reading of court proceedings  and  dockets but certainly worth the effort to go through to get some base understanding of the behind the scenes work that goes on before they can even get a win a DSU application, especially when heavily protested which leads to pooling and the opportunity to drill a well.

These are directly related to the BRK announcement of Sept 26 and the pooling order.

1) Below is the report of the ALJ " Administrative law Judge " who granted BRL's application for the exemption of the 50% ownership rule for a horizontal well Unit.  The ALJ became involved due to the protests by parties of the initial ruling to grant BRK's application. The ALJ reviews the testimonies, evidence etc presented at the hearing which was heard  on April 19,20, 26, and 27. The judge gave oral approval of the Application on April 27, but didn't issue the order till 10 August.

This gave  BRK the right to form a 640 acre DSU over the Sycamore formation above the Flames Woodford DSU. There is a concurrent DSU for the 320 acres in the Sycamore in the eastern half of Section 10,  also above the Flames Woodford DSU .

2) As BRK were able to proceed with the DSU, the pooling application was also approved, which was done on the 26th Sept, hence the BRK announcement on that date ( not related to the Bruins part).


Below is the Pooling order.. note the various cash bonuses and royalties  options available to the lease holders .

An example of a lease holder ( The Oklahoma State University Foundation)  accepting a pooling option for their leases  signed a few days ago.
