if management has skin in the game beyond human capital (employment) is a key metric for some (and I don't count the smelly option deal as skin in the game. but. at least that's probably underwriting the SP for 2024). a simple ASX director buying notice of $10k of shares would do it for me.
you are probably correct re Aldi and wine. but the Chinese will soon be buying up the glut we have had last years, so I'll hedge my bets and plant some Cab Sav for vintage 2028 just in case
