. when the asx 300 is rebalanced, and if we get in, then vanguard and index supper funds buy swm and sell their positions in the companies that drop out. simplified but I think that is correct.
will that cause a massive lift in price? as KS is a major holder and likely to keep the position, coupled with a buy back of potentially 10%. would that lead to a strong demand that would move this price along?
even with Byron selling and jumping back in and trading by the seat of his pants
but seriously if a company is strongly held, and index funds are forced to buy in what sort of momentum would that have?
I wonder if there has ever been a case that the index funds could not buy shares in x company due to a limited shares for sale?
I guess Berkshire Hathaway could also be one of these situations maybe?
