If you're in the gold mining industry, you're likely familiar with the term "nugget effect," often used to explain discrepancies during ore reconciliations. But what exactly does the term 'nugget effect' entail?!
”In geostatistics, the nugget effect is assumed when "the difference between a sampled value and a potential repeat sample at the same location is actually zero" (Clark, I. 2010). Put simply, it's when there's a significant difference in grades between the original sample and its duplicate.”
