"I had one project in Transbaikal region, Russia. The gold mineralisation is presented prolongated quartz veins with the average thickness around 0,6 meters down to 1 km depth with the visible native gold. There are just minor number of such veins, maybe 5 to 7 per hole. Obviously that drillholes meeting such veins returned just 5-7 intersection per 1000 meters look like sporadic. So, looking at drillhole data, you will have impression that there is no significant orebodies. However, when the exploration has been started using underground workings along the veins, the deposit became large with around 60 tonnes gold with the average grade 6g/t. So, sometimes it’s necessary to change an exploration approach."
