I agree probably more pain to come based on the abject management and board failure to 1. firstly let JW go and 2. secondly fail to replace him with an African experienced CEO or any management team changes at all. Basically RSG seems in freefall with no accountability or share holder concerns whatsoever.
RSG share price on 16th October 2020 (JW exit) was 97c. Now 47c - down more than 50%....
That is a loss of market cap of more than $500 million. That is a lot of value to lose.
Conversely EQX is up 20% since JW appointment in Nov and I am even happier with AON share price - 10th Feb (JW appointment) was 4c. Now 8c - up 100%....
Back a winner! Especially good to have Middlemas keeping the moose under control!
I was a lot happier when RSG was above $2 but I still made a bucket on backing JW in RSG (just not as much as I should have and I stayed in a bit too long after he exited and will not make that mistake again).
I still have belief that Resolute can be a great company. But I cant buy it without a leader and it seems so absolutely obvious why it is being destroyed - there is just nobody inside the company who gives a damn or is willing to buy any shares themselves or be accountable or committed to action or results or a vision. Last one out turn off the lights.....
If you are holding RSG or seeing value at these levels then ask yourself the question: Who are you backing and what is their track record?
