Incitec Pivot run a sulphuric acid plant at nearby Mt Isa. The sulphur comes from a portion of the copper smelter emissions from Glencore’s Mount Isa Mines operations and the plant turns it into sulphuric acid, used to make fertiliser. If RDM could do something similar for Sybella by using the these emissions for input instead of purchasing sulfur, the input costs would be even lower.
