I don't think we will ever get a vaccine. I imagine a situation where there's cheap, fast, effective treatment that brings the mortality rate down close to zero which will be acceptable to travellers and governments.
I think the point made by Wine Collector and others isn't that SYD is a bad investment. It's a great business model and, but for a once-in-one hundred year pandemic, it would be a great stock to own. Apple, Tesla, and CSL would also be good businesses to own -- at the right price. I just don't think the current price reflects the reality of the current situation. The current $5.49 is becoming interesting but it's not at blood on the streets levels where I'm getting a bargain and I'd be crazy not to buy some.
