They've said the lack of recovery is due to a lack of oxygen to dissolve the gold. They has some success with temporary oxygen dosing and are now trying to put in place a larger more permanent solution.
The lack of oxygen comes from the fine grinding of the sulphides. Some tinkering is needed to balance the countervailing factors. Given time and it could be months they should be able to,sneak up the Au recovery but it may top out below 95%.
