He was then Chair until not that long ago.
A2M holders have seen how much of a pain a Chairman can be.
I also think a bit of distance between CEO and Chair is a good thing. You especially shouldn't just take the old CEO and make him the Chair. It is unlikely to result in any meaningful change in direction.
