Syntonic is expanding mobile content services to Southeast Asia to accelerate advertising, content, and application growth. The first wave of applications Syntonic have signed to the Freeway platform include WhatsApp, BBM, WeChat, Twitter and Clash of Clans.
SO, Let's break these companies down.... These really are HUGE!!!
- WECHAT - is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service developed by TenCent in China. It is the second largest standalone messaging app by monthly active users in the world.
As of December 2015, WeChat has over 650 million active users; with 70 million outside of China. It is one of the largest internet companies in the world. Tencent holds 15% stake of JD.com, which competes with Amazon, Google, Ebay, Facebook and Alibaba. On September 8, 2015, Tencent became the largest Internet company in Asia. (US$206 billion)- WHATSAPP - As of February 2016, WhatsApp had a user base of up to one billion, making it the globe's most popular mobile messaging app. WhatsApp Inc., based in California, was acquired by Facebook on February 19, 2014, for US$19.3 billion.
- TWITTER - As of May 2015, Twitter has 332 million active users.
- BBM (Blackberry Messenger) - As of 2015, There are more than 190 million BBM users worldwide. BlackBerry Messenger, also known as BBM, is a proprietary Internet-based instant messenger and videotelephony application included on BlackBerry devices that allows messaging and voice calls between BlackBerry, iOS, Windows Phone and Android users.
- CLASH OF CLANS - Is an online multiplayer game. In 2015, the game was the top grossing app on both the App Store and Google Play, with an estimated revenue of $1.5 million USD per day.
