Copper Strike own 9m shares in SYR and didn't have the money to participate. In fact, the 9m shares are the only asset Copper Strike own. ASX are trying to keep them off the bourse. They are desperately trying to buy or invest in another listed company as a partner to remain listed.
I'm not sure of the legalities but if they do get kicked off, they may have to sell the SYR shares and distribute the proceeds to the remaining shareholders.
Does anyone know if they would be regarded as a retail or institutional holder?
