Problem with that logic is that many long term holders have shares they bought at $3 or $4. They watched the company dilute and dilute again as their capital disappeared. Their reward? Nothing, because a speculator with $2000 of shares could apply for $30k.
I think you are talking about short term holders who caught a falling knife.
