Tobyjack is is apparently trying to suggest that, because I quote somebody in one particular case , that I automatically endorse everything they say, on any topic. That is rubbish.
When I quote someone, I believe that I then share responsibility for those words.
To quote, and then, when the content of the quote is questioned, or disproved, to then run away and say:
"Oh, they weren't my words. Somebody else said that. I'm not responsible!"
hardly helps increase our confidence in what is posted.
