You need to get your head around the whole industry is being driven by climate change and what the implications are. Once you do, it becomes a simple supply and demand equation with some geo political supply chain considerations thrown in. 120m+ EV's will be built in the next 10 years and every week production start-up/rollout is being moved forward.
Apple and Amazon are now involved. The CEO of VW said recently he was more worried about the involvement of the tech giants than anything else for the health of his business.
