So as I already have a commsec international account, I'm thinking I'll try for option 2. That means I have to "arrange for my sponsoring broker to convert the CDI's to an issuer sponsored holding before requesting to convert their CDI's into the underlying securities"... This I think will have to be a phone call to commsec, as I have no idea what it is talking about.
