Sorry I haven't been around for a while. There hasn't been a lot of coverage of the Panel findings in the major newspapers but the Courier Mail had this to say:

It is unusual for the Panel findings and orders to be separated but I think the reason this has been done in this case is that the Panel was running out of time. Section 657B of the Corporations Act requires the panel to make a decision within 3 months of the circumstances occurring or within a month of the application whichever ends last. The Farallon transaction was announced to the market on November 24th, three months ago, today. The alternative would have been to go to the Courts and seek an extension.

In the Viento case where the same situation arose the orders came out six days after the findings. Like other shareholders, I am curious to see what they will be in this case.
