sorry to hear.. never easy to get this sort of wack.

however, people may wanna find out about the management. A very good management can make things work while a crappy management can ruin even a world class project.

Have a proper chat or two or three and see whether the management is really sound and reputable. They have enough money to go out and find another really good project. This may hurt a bit from the brokers' side but I bet you they will be telling the management they need to find a real good one for everyone's sake especially their clients' or else it would be hard to even raise money via them now.

Wont even surprise me that brokers would look through projects with the management.
