Each to their own. Proof reading is proof reading. Surely amongst the highly educated individuals putting the piece together, we should be able to assume competence in basic spelling also.
I will not assume that greater emphasis is placed on facts and data being correct than the rest of the information provided. My standards will not allow me to do so. If I miss valuable information as a result of that, that’s on me. Whether the reverse is true, well...?
We could argue this back and forth constantly. Neither of us will change our minds I’m sure.
