90% is needed to compulsory acquire the remaining 10%
The downside, from my point of view, is that transparency and accountability is less important to a majority shareholder, because they know what's going on, and get no advantage from oversharing information beyond legal requirements.
So i expect it will be more difficult to stay informed about how management is going, it doesn't mean better or worse management, it does mean there is more likely to be surprises, one way or the other.
